We are Charlotte and Courteney — two sisters who never imagined grief would become such an intimate part of our lives.In 2024, we lost our mom. A few months later, our Ouma, and after that, our Oupa. One loss after another, a rolling wave of grief that left little time to catch our breath.

This year, Courteney had to say a devastating goodbye to her Gussy. Her beloved frenchie, her little shadow... her soul dog.

She began carrying his ashes with her, a small way of filling the emptiness of not having him beside her every day. Something that made her feel he was still with her. But we wanted to create something more beautiful, secure and permanent. Something she could wear without ever having to worry about losing him again.

And so, Rune and Raven was born.
Today, Gussy rests inside the pendant around Courteney’s neck. It cannot replace him, but it brings comfort in knowing that a little part of him is always close to her heart.

We created Rune and Raven for the ones left behind. For the people we miss. For the love that remains. For the comfort of keeping someone close. We know grief. We are still walking through it too.

Every piece carries a story. Every piece carries a love that still exists.
